Matthew Cowan, Esq.

Attorney Matthew Cowan graduated from New York University Stern School of Business in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science and obtained his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School in 2010.

Prior to joining Durbin Law Offices PLLC in 2024, Attorney Cowan served as the General Counsel to Arboretum Investment Advisors, LLC in Portsmouth, NH (2016-2023), Staff Attorney at SQN Capital Management, LLC in New York, NY (2014-2016), Attorney at the law firm of Jason D. Boroff & Associates PLLC in Bronx, NY (2012-2014), and Attorney at the law firm of John F. O’Halloran in Bayonne, NJ (2011-2012).

Matthew is licensed to practice in New Hampshire and New York. He specializes in the areas of real estate, estate planning, landlord-tenant law and corporate law.

In his free time, Matthew enjoys spending time with his family: his wife, Anna, children Poppy and Hunter and dog, Grayson. He is heavily involved in basketball around the New Hampshire Seacoast as a youth coach, men’s league player, and certified IAABO referee.
